TRACE workflow
01 Identify
Professional Writing Systems for Education Work
A 20-hour, non-accredited course that develops professional writing as an evidence, decision, action, and accountability system in education.
Project Rationale
What the work addresses and why it exists
Professional Writing Systems for Education Work treats writing as part of professional evidence and decision-making rather than as an isolated language task. Educational records, reports, curriculum documents, assessments, administrative communication and governance material need to show what occurred, what evidence was considered, what judgement was made, what action followed and how accountability is maintained. Its 12-module structure develops the TRACE workflow: Triage, Record, Analyse, Communicate and Evaluate. Seven assessed tasks and an applied capstone support transfer into professional practice. The package includes learner modules, an assessment booklet and editable practice templates for educators and education professionals.

The reasoning visible in the architecture
- 01
TRACE was organised as a reusable workflow so the writing method can transfer across teaching, administration, curriculum, and governance contexts.
- 02
Assessment is distributed across seven tasks and an applied capstone so performance is demonstrated through use rather than recognised through attendance alone.
- 03
The certificate is described explicitly as non-accredited professional development to preserve the distinction between course completion and a formal qualification.
